About AIBetGuru — Our Story, Our Mission, Our Methods
My name is Carmelo, and I built AIBetGuru from my home in New Jersey out of a simple frustration: every sports prediction site I could find was either hiding behind a paywall, drowning in vague "expert picks" with no accountability, or charging $30/month to serve up the same recycled analysis you could find anywhere for free. I believed data could do better. So I built the system myself.
AIBetGuru launched in November 2025. In under five months, it has grown to over 76,000 visits from more than 20,000 unique readers — entirely through organic search and word of mouth. No paid ads. No viral gimmicks. Just a system that works, content that informs, and a community that keeps coming back.
Why I Built This
I am a lifelong sports fan and data nerd from New Jersey. I grew up watching Giants games at MetLife Stadium, debating Yankees vs. Mets at family cookouts, and spending way too much time reading box scores. When legal sports betting came to New Jersey in 2018, I approached it the same way I approach everything: I wanted to find the edge in the data.
After years of tracking my own picks manually in spreadsheets — logging every bet, every outcome, every factor I thought mattered — I started to see patterns. Certain combinations of factors (home field advantage, recent form, injury reports, weather) consistently outperformed random picks. I automated the process, tested it over hundreds of games, refined the weights, and eventually turned it into a fully automated prediction engine.
I built AIBetGuru to share that system openly. Everything you see here is free. No subscriptions. No hidden picks behind paywalls. Just the data, the methodology, and the accountability of a public track record.
What AIBetGuru Covers
We publish algorithmic predictions, educational content, and data-driven analysis across six sports and three financial categories:
- NFL Oracle: Predictions for every NFL game using a 5-factor model: offensive efficiency, defensive rank, home field advantage, weather impact, and recent form. Factor weights update automatically based on prior season outcomes.
- NBA Oracle: Game predictions using pace-adjusted offensive and defensive ratings, back-to-back fatigue penalties, home court advantage, and injury impact scoring.
- NHL Oracle: Moneyline and puck line predictions using goaltender save percentage, power play efficiency, road/home splits, and recent form.
- MLB Oracle: A 6-factor baseball model: starting pitcher ERA and WHIP (25%), team batting average and OBP (20%), bullpen strength (15%), recent win/loss form (15%), weather and wind impact at the stadium (15%), and home field advantage (10%).
- UFC/MMA Oracle: Fighter predictions based on striking accuracy, takedown defense, submission rate, fight history, and reach/physical advantages.
- CFB Oracle: College football predictions covering ranked matchups, conference dynamics, home crowd impact, and season momentum.
- Crypto & Stock Oracle: Real-time technical analysis for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and major US stocks using RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, volume trends, and on-chain data signals.
- Event Oracle: Prediction market analysis aggregating real-money odds from Polymarket and Kalshi on political, economic, and cultural events.
- Player Props Oracle: Individual player performance predictions for NBA, NFL, and NHL using season averages, matchup data, and recent game logs.
How Our Prediction System Actually Works
Every prediction on AIBetGuru is generated by a rule-based algorithmic system — not a person's gut feeling, not a social media hot take, and not a black-box neural network. Here is exactly how each prediction is produced:
- Data Collection: Real-time data is pulled from verified sources — ESPN's API for schedules, injury reports, and scores; OpenWeatherMap for game-day weather at stadiums; and financial APIs for stock and crypto market data. All data is timestamped and refreshed continuously.
- Factor Weighting: Each sport uses a custom set of weighted factors tuned to that sport's specific predictive variables. NFL predictions, for example, weight weather more heavily than NBA predictions, because weather genuinely affects outdoor game outcomes. MLB weights pitcher performance most heavily because starting pitching is the single largest determinant of game outcome in baseball.
- Confidence Scoring: After running the factor model, each prediction receives a confidence percentage (0-100%) based on how strongly the factors align for one side. Predictions above 65% confidence are flagged as high-confidence picks. Predictions between 50-55% confidence are noted as coin-flip territory.
- Outcome Logging: Every prediction is stored in a PostgreSQL database with the predicted winner, confidence score, and game date. After the game, actual outcomes are automatically pulled from ESPN and compared against the prediction. Win/loss results update the accuracy tracker on every Oracle page in real time.
- Weight Learning: The system runs an auto-learning cycle every 3 hours. If certain factors have been systematically overvalued or undervalued (based on recent outcomes), the factor weights adjust automatically to improve future predictions.
This is what separates AIBetGuru from a picks service: we are not selling you someone's opinion. We are running a transparent, auditable, self-improving algorithmic model and publishing the results publicly.
Our Track Record
We log every prediction made on this platform. Every. Single. One. Our accuracy statistics are displayed publicly on each Oracle page and updated automatically as game results come in. We do not cherry-pick wins or hide losses. If our system underperforms on a given week, that shows up in the numbers — and it triggers the auto-learning system to investigate and adjust.
We started logging predictions in November 2025. As of April 2026, we have logged over 1,080 predictions across NFL, NBA, NHL, CFB, UFC, and MLB, with accuracy results updated in real time on each sport's Oracle page.
Educational Content & Blog
Beyond predictions, AIBetGuru publishes original educational articles covering sports betting strategy, cryptocurrency analysis, prediction market investing, and bankroll management. These are written by Carmelo based on real experience, not aggregated from other sites.
Topics we cover regularly include:
- How to build a sports betting bankroll from scratch and manage it responsibly
- Understanding moneylines, point spreads, totals, and parlays — how the math actually works
- Cryptocurrency market analysis: Bitcoin cycles, altcoin timing, and on-chain indicators
- Prediction market strategy: how to trade Polymarket and Kalshi for profit
- Tax and legal considerations for sports bettors in different US states
- Tool reviews: sportsbooks, betting apps, charting platforms, and portfolio trackers we actually use
All blog articles are written to inform, not to sell picks or pressure anyone into gambling. The goal is to make you a smarter, more informed decision-maker — whether you bet recreationally or take a more systematic approach.
Our Long-Term Vision
AIBetGuru is building toward something bigger than a free picks site. The long-term goal is to develop a proven algorithmic track record that is valuable enough to license to sportsbooks, sports media companies, and institutional prediction market participants. We are building the dataset and the proof of concept now — publicly and transparently — so that the track record speaks for itself.
If you are a sportsbook, media company, or institutional investor interested in discussing data licensing, reach out directly at AIBetguru25@gmail.com.
Responsible Gambling — Our Position
New Jersey, where AIBetGuru is based, has some of the most mature legal sports betting infrastructure in the United States. We have seen firsthand how betting can be a fun, low-stakes form of entertainment — and how it can become a problem for some people. We take that seriously.
Every page on this site carries a responsible gambling reminder. We never advocate betting more than you can afford to lose. We never sell "guaranteed picks" or promise outcomes. If you or someone you know is struggling with problem gambling, please call the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-522-4700 (available 24/7).
